FORMER STUDIES

sep 2008/ oct 2011
Digital Media Master Program – Master of Arts
University of Arts Bremen, University of Bremen, Fachhochschule Bremen and Fachhochschule Bremenhaven, Germany

The Master in HfK was an opportunity for me, after working for some time in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil to have another international experience, broaden my knowledge and learn from a new academic environment.

The program was given in English and had students from all around the world. Among the four institutions I was enrolled in the University of Arts of Bremen and could attend courses in all of them, on topics from Digital Media to Arts. It was from a Trend Forecasting course that I got the opportunity to make an internship in Iconography Research and Trend Research, at the Trend Union in Paris.

One important aspect during the whole time of the master was the exchange between the students, from different academic backgrounds and cultures (more than 20 different countries!); it was possible to learn from each other on work and also on everyday life situations.

sep 2004/mar 2005
Exchange Program in Design
Fachhochschule Potsdam, Germany

With intentions of learning more about New Media Design, I did an interchange program in FH-Potsdam. The school had a curriculum with multidisciplinary courses and partnerships with business companies. The experience contributed to my professional and personal growth, having the opportunity to spend those months living in a city like Berlin was certainly highly stimulant as a designer.

2000/2004
Graphic and Product Design – Bachelor in Industrial Design
State University of Rio de Janeiro, School of Design (Uerj-Esdi), Brazil

Founded in 1963, Esdi is the oldest design college in Brazil and in Latin America.
There, I completed the course of design, with specialization in graphic and product.
The international exchange programs of professors and students that the school offers enriched my academic experience. In five years of course and with a total of only 200 students, Esdi was my second family.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

mar 2010/may 2010
Iconography Research/ Trend Research
Trend Union. Paris, France.

At Trend Union, renewed trend forecasting office in Paris, I had the opportunity to work together with Imke Klee and Lena Thamm for the trend books conceptualized by Li Edelkoort. During those months I researched on design, style and fashion deviates, new materials and color games and made an intensive work on iconographic research. I could live the day to day office life with Trend Union and StudioEdelkoort teams, attending the lectures and presentations organized by them. Together, the researches done at the office and in the city of Paris were an extremely inspiring and enriching experience.
